Telephone service temporarily unavailable at VIEDA office on St. Thomas

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – September 12, 2023 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (USVIEDA) advises the public that the telephone services at the VIEDA office at 8000 Nisky Center, Suite No. 620, on St. Thomas is temporarily unavailable for making and receiving external calls. 

U.S. Virgin Islands telecommunications provider, Viya, is working on restoring full connectivity to restore telephone services at the VIEDA St. Thomas office.  As these services are restored, the public will be informed. 

VIEDA Governing Board Decision Meeting set for September 14

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – September 11, 2023 - Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), announces that a Governing Board Decision Meeting for the Economic Development Bank will be held at 9AM on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

The VIEDA advises the public that the Board of Directors may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meetings as provided in 1 V.I.C. § 254.

VIEDA offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix to close early on September 6 for employee professional development training

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U. S. Virgin Islands – September 1, 2023 -- The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) offices in the districts of St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix will be closed to the public from 3PM to 5PM on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 to allow VIEDA employees to participate in a staff meeting and engage in professional development activities.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – August 30, 2023 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) advises the general public that VIEDA Board Meeting held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 will continue at 9AM on Thursday, August 31, 2023 with a Governing Board Decision Meeting on matters from the VIEDA, Economic Development Commission and the Economic Development Bank.

VIEDA Office on St. Thomas closes early to the public on August 23

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands – August 23, 2023 – Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (“VIEDA”), announces that the VIEDA office on St. Thomas at 8000 Nisky Center, 2nd Fl., Suite No. 620 will be closed for the remainder of Wednesday, August 23, 2023 due to operational issues the office is experiencing with the air conditioning unit.  These issues will be addressed after working hours.
