Anise Hodge

Anise I. Hodge currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director at the Virgin Islands Port Authority. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs of Syracuse University, a Bachelor of Arts from Hampton University, and certificates in Executive Leadership, Project Management, Grant Management and Strategic Planning. For the last 30 plus years she has served in various financial, managerial, and executive capacities within the Government of the United States Virgin Islands.

Merchants Commercial Bank becomes first lending institution to enter MOA to refer applications for VI Slice Moderate-Income Homeownership Program

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands – March 15, 2023 -- Merchants Commercial Bank in the U.S. Virgin Islands recently entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) to officially implement the VI Slice Moderate-Income Homeownership Program (hereafter “VI Slice Program”) in the Territory. This is the first bank to formally enter into this agreement with the VIEDA to assist moderate-income families in getting access to gap financing for homeownership through the VI Slice Program.

U.S. Virgin Islands approved for up to $57.8 million under the State Small Business Credit Initiative Program to help local small businesses

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands – March 8, 2023 - To continue supporting local small businesses and entrepreneurship, and to expand their access to capital in the U.S. Virgin Islands through local banks, the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) announces that the U.S. Virgin Islands was approved to receive up to $57.8 million in funding under the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI) in President Biden’s American Rescue Plan.
