Economic Development Commission Public Hearing for Two Businesses; EDC Governing Board Decision Meeting Set For May 12

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – May 9, 2016 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) announces the following:

Public Hearing: A public hearing by the Economic Development Commission, a subsidiary entity of the VIEDA, will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 9 a.m. at 8000 Nisky Shopping Center, Suite 620, St. Thomas, USVI; and via video conference feed to the William D. Roebuck Industrial Park at No. 4 Negro Bay, Building No. 2, Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI, on applications regarding tax exemptions from the following businesses: Liberty Medical Development, LLC; and Territory East Asset Management, LLC.

Any person, firm or corporation interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority.

Governing Board Decision Meeting: A decision meeting by the Economic Development Commission will immediately follow the public hearing on an application and/or petition from AUVEN Therapeutics Management, LLLP. A meeting will also be held by the VIEDA and the Virgin Islands Economic Development Park Corporation. These meetings will be held at the public hearing locations. All interested persons are notified in accordance with the law.

The VIEDA Board of Directors may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meeting in accordance with the law. Any person, firm or corporation that is interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the V.I. Economic Development Authority at No. 116 King St., Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI 00840; or via facsimile to 340-773-7701.
