CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – February 8, 2016 – The V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) announces the following:
Public Hearing: A public hearing for the Economic Development Commission will be held on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9 a.m. at 8000 Nisky Shopping Center, Suite 620, St. Thomas, USVI; and via video conference feed to the William D. Roebuck Industrial Park at No. 4 Negro Bay, Building No. 2, Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI, on applications regarding tax exemptions from the following businesses: Atrium VI, LLC; Plessen Healthcare, LLC; and Carambola Golf Club, LLC. Any person, firm or corporation interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the V.I. Economic Development Authority.
Governing Board Decision Meeting: A decision meeting by the Economic Development Commission and the Economic Development Bank will immediately follow the public hearing on applications and/or matters which may be brought to the appropriate Board for action. The Economic Development Commission will also hold a meeting on an administrative matter for JH Capital (V.I.), Inc., on an extension request for capital investment. The Annual Meeting for the Enterprise Zone Commission will also be held. The decision meeting will be held at the aforesaid locations. All interested persons are notified in accordance with law.
The Board of Directors of the VIEDA and its subsidiary Board(s) may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meeting in accordance with law. Any person, firm or corporation that is interested in the approval or disapproval of the application may appear and be heard provided that a written statement is submitted at least one (1) day prior to the hearing to the Chief Executive Officer of the V.I.
