EDC Show Cause Hearing to be held on December 10

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – December 7, 2015 – The V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) announces that a public hearing to show cause by the Economic Development Commission is scheduled for Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 9AM in the boardroom of the VIEDA’s office at 8000 Nisky Shopping Center, Suite 620, St. Thomas, USVI; and via video conference feed at the William D. Roebuck Economic Development Park, No. 4 Negro Bay, Building No. 2, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, USVI.

VIEDA offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix will be closed on December 11

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – December 7, 2015 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) advises the general public that the VIEDA offices in the districts of St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix will be closed on Friday, December 11, 2015 to allow the VIEDA staff to participate in VIEDA Employee Appreciation Day activities.

VIEDA, EDC to hold Governing Board Decision Meeting on November 12

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands - November 9, 2015 - The V.I. Economic Development Authority announces that the V.I. Economic Development Authority (“VIEDA”), along with its subsidiary the Economic Development Commission, will be holding a Governing Board Decision Meeting on applications regarding tax benefits from the following businesses: Alpha Mortgage Advisors, Inc.; Castle Medical Holding, Inc.; CD Paradise Holdings, LLLP; and CDM Investment Management LLLP along with other matters which may be brought to the appropriate Board for action.

Economic Development Commission to host Open House for prospective and existing Eligible VI Suppliers and local businesses

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – November 6, 2015 - The Economic Development Commission (EDC) will host an Open House for certified Eligible Suppliers under the EDC Program. Current Eligible Suppliers and Virgin Islands businesses interested in becoming certified providers of goods and services to companies receiving EDC tax exemptions in the U.S. Virgin Islands are encouraged to attend. The general public is also welcome to learn more about the VIEDA programs and services.

Biggs, Jr. is reminding all Eligible Virgin Islands Suppliers that all required annual filings must be submitted to the EDC to avoid decertification.
