CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – August 25, 2021 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) advises the general public that VIEDA office employees on St. Thomas continue to work remotely as of August 25, 2021. The St. Thomas office in the Nisky Center remains closed for walk-in services.

An extensive cleaning of the VIEDA office on St. Thomas was conducted following a recent COVID-19 exposure to employees at this office. The office is now clear of the coronavirus.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – August 23, 2021 — On Thursday, August 26, 2021 beginning at 9AM AST, the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) Board of Directors will meet for a Governing Board Meeting. This decision meeting will be held for the VIEDA, the V.I. Economic Development Commission (VIEDC)(Compliance Division), Economic Development Bank (EDB) and the Enterprise Zone Commission (EZC) on applications or client compliance matters.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U. S. Virgin Islands – August 21, 2021 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) alerts the general public that due to a reported positive COVID-19 case, the VIEDA office in the St. Thomas-St. John district will be closed until further notice.

VIEDA staff will continue to work remotely to serve the USVI community, its clients and stakeholders while continuing to promote opportunities for economic growth, job creation, and wealth generation in the Territory.

"The VIEDA team and I join the U.S. Virgin Islands community in expressing our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Netfa “Tafa” Romain.  We are saddened to learn of this sudden loss of a true ambassador of the U.S. Virgin Islands.
