“Vision 2040,” 20-Year Plan for USVI Economy, to be Unveiled Tuesday, March 30

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands – March 25, 2021 — “Vision 2040,” the 20-year economic plan for the U.S. Virgin Islands, has been completed and will be summarized in a public presentation next Tuesday, March 30 featuring Governor Albert Bryan Jr., the VI Economic Development Authority CEO Wayne L. Biggs Jr., and an executive for the consulting team instrumental in the development of the plan, Mr. Biggs announced today.

Virgin Islands – March 22, 2021 -- The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) - in partnership with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) - is inviting local small businesses, entrepeneurs and startups to their fourth webinar in its 4-month series E-Marketing Training Course. This week's webinar titled, "Navigating E-Commerce and Online Sales", will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:30PM to 6:30PM AST.

VIEDA Governing Board of Directors to meet for an Emergency Board Meeting on March 15

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands – March 12, 2021 — A Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority Board of Directors will meet for an Emergency Board Meeting on Monday, March 15, 2021  beginning at 12:30PM AST.

This meeting will be held primarily in executive session to discuss legal matters.

To help reduce the global spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), both the public hearing and meeting will be conducted via Zoom, a software-based platform for video and audio communications. 

E-Marketing Course - Navigating E-Commerce and Driving Online Sales

The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority, in partnership with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is hosting an E-Marketing Training Course starting on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 5:30pm AST every other Tuesday until May 4, 2021. 

We will have local and national subject matter experts on each topic, in addition to real case studies of local businesses in the Territory.

VIEDC Board of Directors to meet for a Governing Board Decision Meeting on March 11

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands – March 7, 2021 — A Governing Board Decision Meeting is scheduled for the V.I. Economic Development Commission (VIEDC) on Thursday, March 11, 2021 beginning at 9AM.

At this meeting, the Board of Directors will consider applications and compliance matters submitted to the VIEDC. The VIEDC is an entity of the V.I. Economic Development Authority (VIEDA).
