VIEDA’s 2025 Estate Planning Conference Postponed

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDSSt. Thomas – September 23, 2025 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), through its Enterprise Zone Commission (EZC), announces that the 2025 Estate Planning Conference, scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025, has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather affecting the U.S. Virgin Islands.

A new date for the conference will be announced, and VIEDA will advise the public as soon as event details are confirmed. In the meantime, we encourage the community to prioritize safety and take all necessary precautions as the Territory prepares for potential weather impacts.

The Estate Planning Conference is designed to empower Virgin Islands residents with the tools and knowledge needed to plan for the future, protect generational wealth, and navigate heirs’ property and probate challenges. The event will feature expert presenters in estate planning, probate, and trusts, along with representatives from VIEDA/EZC. Attendees will gain access to resources that can help secure family legacies and revitalize properties across the Territory.

This conference is supported in part through grant funding from the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Office of Insular and International Affairs (DOI/OIA) to launch a program addressing abandoned buildings and multigenerational property challenges. The initiative focuses on family solutions, revitalization of properties, and sharing best practices.
