CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – August 8, 2025 — Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer, Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority, announces the following temporary closures and hours of operation for the VIEDA in both districts on August 11th and 13th due to the Virgin Islands Division of Personnel’s Open Enrollment In-Person Sessions regarding health insurance plans and in alignment with U.S. Virgin Islands’ Governor Albert Bryan, Jr.’s granting of administrative leave for active USVI government employees to attend these sessions.
In the District of St. Croix, the VIEDA office will be closed from 3PM to 5PM on Monday, August 11, 2025 and will reopen on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 8AM. The VIEDA office on St. Thomas will remain open all day to assist clients and other customers in both districts during the temporary closure of the VIEDA office on St. Croix, USVI.
In the District of St. Thomas-St. John, the VIEDA office on St. Thomas will be closed from 3PM to 5PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 and will reopen on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 8AM. The VIEDA office on St. Croix will remain open all day to assist clients and other customers in both districts during the temporary closure of the VIEDA office on St. Thomas, USVI.
