CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U. S. Virgin Islands – December 17, 2025 – The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) offices in the St. Thomas-St. John and St. Croix Districts will close early on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 12PM for Employee Appreciation Day activities.
In observance of the upcoming holidays and the Crucian Christmas Festival, the VIEDA has adjusted its work schedule in the St. Croix and St. Thomas-St. John Districts. This adjustment is due to administrative leave granted under the proclamation issued by U.S. Virgin Islands Governor Albert Bryan Jr. for the 2025-2026 holiday season.
ADJUSTED WORK SCHEDULE & LEGAL HOLIDAYS:
- Wednesday, December 24, 2025: Christmas Eve Day | Both offices closed
from 12PM to 5PM.
- Thursday, December 25, 2025: Christmas Day | Both offices closed.
- Friday, December 26, 2025: Christmas Second Day | Both offices closed.
- Wednesday, December 31, 2025: New Year’s Eve | St. Croix office closed
from 8M to 5PM.
- Wednesday, December 31, 2025: New Year’s Eve | St. Thomas office closed
from 12PM to 5PM.
- Thursday, January 1, 2026: New Year’s Day | Both offices closed all day.
- Friday, January 2, 2026: St. Croix Crucian Christmas Festival Children’s Parade | Both offices closed all day.
- Tuesday, January 6, 2026: Three Kings Day | Both offices closed all day.
Normal business hours will resume in both districts on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 8AM.
