VIEDA Board of Directors to consider first Southshore Trade Zone application at board meeting on October 10

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – October 8, 2024 – Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), announces that a Governing Board Decision Meeting will be held for the VIEDA’s Enterprise Zone Commission at 9AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 on the first Southshore Tradezone application. This application for tradezone tax benefits is submitted by St. Croix-based business In The Mix Cakery, LLC 

The Southshore Tradezone, located around the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport, east of Estate Enfield Green, south of the Melvin Evans Highway, and west of the Limetree Bay Refinery, is an enterprise zone location on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

To participate in the Board meetings, registration is mandatory, and the sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Interested parties are encouraged to register and join the meeting using the provided link:

Upon registration, participants will receive a confirmation email containing details for accessing the meeting. Meeting registrants are reminded to refrain from sharing the received link, as individual registration is required.  

Please note that the Board of Directors reserves the right to enter executive session for any decision as stipulated in 1 V.I.C. § 254, during the meetings.
