VIEDA, VIEDC Public Hearings, VIEDC and EZC Governing Board Decision Meetings set for November 14

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – November 13, 2024 – Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), announces that a Public Hearing will be held for the VIEDA (Hotel Development Progam application for Haven Development, LLC) at 9AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 followed by a Public Hearing at 10AM for the VI Economic Development Commission on new tax incentive program applications from First Antilles Capital, LLC (St. Croix) and SK Venture Group, LLC (St. Thomas).

Governing Board Decision Meeting will also be held for the VIEDC (Compliance matters re: the tax incentive program) and the Enterprise Zone Commission following the public hearings.

To participate in the Board meetings, registration is mandatory, and the sessions will be conducted via Zoom. Interested parties are encouraged to register and join the meeting using the provided link:

Upon registration, participants will receive a confirmation email containing details for accessing the meeting. Meeting registrants are reminded to refrain from sharing the received link, as individual registration is required.  

Please note that the Board of Directors reserves the right to enter executive session for any decision as stipulated in 1 V.I.C. § 254, during the meetings.

Post-meeting, summaries of the Board’s decisions will be made available to the public on the VIEDA website at https://usvieda.org/board-meetings/.
