VIEDC Governing Board to decide on three business tax incentive program applications at meeting on November 10

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – November 3, 2022 - Wayne L. Biggs, Jr., chief executive officer of the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA), announces that a Governing Board Decision Meeting will be held for the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission (VIEDC) at 9AM on Thursday, November 10, 2022. VIEDC Board of Directors to decide on applications submitted by these businesses with the following requests:

  • Sterisil International, LLC is a U.S. Virgin Islands limited liability company that was formed on January 4, 2016. Sterisil owns and operates a Category II manufacturing company that manufactures, administers and sells dental water disinfecting products to markets in the United States. Sterisil is petitioning the VIEDC’s Governing Board for the admission of a new shareholder.
  • Evolve USVI, LLC was approved for benefits to own and operate a Category III condominium/hotel and other ancillary activities normally associated with a full-service hotel.  Evolve USVI carries out its approved business activities through: The Fred Hotel, LLC, which operates the boutique hotel, spa, gift shop activities and restaurant. Evolve USVI, LLC submitted a change in ownership for the VIEDC’s Governing Board’s consideration.
  • Universal Concrete, LLC is a U.S. Virgin Islands Limited Liability Company incorporated on January 23, 2019. Universal Concrete operates as a Category II concrete manufacturing plant on the island of St. Thomas. Universal Concrete is petitioning the VIEDC’s Governing Board to consider a change to their Charitable Contributions. 

A Governing Board Decision Meeting will also be held for the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority on administrative matters.

The VIEDA advises the public that the Board of Directors may go into executive session with respect to any decision at any time during the meetings as provided in 1 V.I.C. § 254.

This meeting will be conducted via Zoom, a software-based platform for video and audio communications.  *Registration is required to participate in the Board meeting.

After registering, individuals will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Meeting registrants are reminded that the link they receive after registration should not be shared with anyone as all persons are required to register on their own behalf.
