Silent Auction at Virgin Islands Industrial Park – June 13, 2025
The Economic Development Park Corporation (EDPC), through the Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (USVIEDA), will host a silent auction for two (2) 40-foot shipping containers, their accompanying chassis, and all contents within both containers. These containers contain miscellaneous, unspecified items such as tools, equipment, machinery, and materials.
Sealed bids will be accepted at the Virgin Islands Industrial Park, located at the top of the hill at Subbase, St. Thomas, USVI.
VIEDA Mini Open House:
If you are interested in VIEDA programs instead of the Silent Auction, you can attend the VIEDA’s Mini Open House on June 13th from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at the industrial park to learn about other VIEDA programs.
Under the overarching umbrella of the VIEDA, there are four entities:
- Economic Development Bank which provides financial assistance for new and existing small businesses in the Territory.
- Enterprise Zone Commission which assists V.I. residents and business owners with rehabilitating their properties located in distressed areas enterprise zones through their tax credits program. The enterprise zones on St. Thomas are Savanne-Downstreet, Garden Street-Upstreet; and the enterprise zones on St. Croix are Frederiksted and Christiansted.
- Economic Development Commission which has the tax incentive program for large and small businesses in exchange for them to create job opportunities and generate tax revenues in the Territory. It also has the Eligible Suppliers Program in which these businesses are vetted to determine if they can supply goods and services to EDC beneficiaries receiving tax benefits. Small businesses approved for this program are later listed on the VIEDA website.
- VI Economic Development Park Corporation leases space on St. Thomas and St. Croix to business for manufacturing purposes.

Schedule
- 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Bidder inspection of container units
- 11:00 a.m.: Bid sheets distributed; bidders complete and seal their bids in envelopes
- 12:00 p.m.: Bid submission closes; all bids are read aloud
The highest bid will be declared the winner.
Payment & Removal Deadline
Winning bidder(s) must submit payment and remove the containers by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025.
